Jerusalem Municipality

About
Located on a plateau between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world and a place of central importance to the three major Abrahamic religions. As Israel’s largest city, the City of Jerusalem serves approximately 800,000 residents. In addition to being a holy city and cultural center, Jerusalem also has a unique and biologically diverse natural landscape, and the municipal government has in recent years taken steps to preserve and promote the city’s natural beauty. The City of Jerusalem is currently working to install more paths for pedestrians and cyclists and improve its waste management infrastructure.
