ACTIVITY INFORMATION
What we are doing

The Philippines and its cities continue to rank among the highest in the list of vulnerable areas against the impact of climate change. Unfortunately, the losses and damages brought by related disasters are estimated to increase as climate impacts are projected to intensify in the coming years. Local governments, being at the frontline of this climate crisis, require urgent assistance to determine appropriate plan of actions to improve the resiliency of the community.

What we are achieving

The overall CRC project objective is to improve resilience by strengthening the adaptive capacity of cities to adapt to, mitigate, and manage the impacts of climate change and disasters. It will develop robust multi-stakeholder capacity for climate information generation, analysis, use, and climate change adaptation and climate change mitigation planning (outcome 1), support local government units to fund projects that improve climate resilience (outcome 2), and implement evidence-based nature-based solutions that are locally identified and context-specific (outcome 3).
