Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya, with 3.1 million inhabitants. It is located along the Nairobi River and serves as one of Kenya's main cultural and business hubs. It is home to many international organizations including UNEP's headquarters, and is primarily supported by a service economy. In terms of sustainability, Nairobi has primarily focused on renewable energy, mainly through the installation of solar-powered street lights.
