What we are doing
The Philippines and its cities continue to rank among the highest in the list of vulnerable areas against the impact of climate change. Unfortunately, the losses and damages to be brought by related disasters are estimated to pile up as climate impact is projected to increase and intensify in the coming years. The local government, being in the frontline of this climate crisis, requires urgent assistance to determine appropriate plan of actions to improve the resiliency of the community.

What we are achieving
The overall CRC project objective is to improve resilience by strengthening the adaptive capacity of cities to adapt to, mitigate, and manage the impacts of climate change and disasters. It will develop robust multi-stakeholder capacity for climate information generation, analysis, use, and climate change adaptation (CCA) and climate change mitigation (CCM) planning (outcome 1), support local government units (LGUs) to fund projects that improve climate resilience (outcome 2), and implement evidence-based nature-based solutions (NBS) that are locally identified and context-specific (outcome 3).
