What we are doing
1. The activity is needed to support EU Member States and regions in unlocking the support available through the Just Transition Mechanism (JTM) to ensure Europe's just transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral economy. 2. The Just Transition Platform provides technical assistance, advice, guidance, information, and knowledge to local and regional governments, particularly those in regions dependent on fossil fuels or carbon-intensive industries, helping them to manage the transition. 3. Local and regional governments are utilizing the resources provided by the JTP, such as technical assistance, advice, and knowledge-sharing, to restructure and diversify their economies, maintain social cohesion, and (re)train affected workers and youth for future jobs.
