How can we ensure on the ground that residents’ needs and realities are recognized in local and regional government action to address the climate emergency? The Malmö Commitment has built a network of local and regional governments working together on inclusive approaches to sustainable and zero-emission development, which continues to grow. This session focuses on concrete tools and processes to align climate emergency planning with social equity priorities. Pioneers of the Malmö Commitment will share and discuss their good practices on integrated planning, innovative budgeting, and effective stakeholder collaboration to ensure an inclusive transition.
