Pohang City is transforming from an industrial city into a green, nature-based city through its flagship Greenway Project. By converting a 9.3-km unused railway corridor into an urban forest and expanding green spaces to 2.03 million m², the city is improving citizens’ access to nature, enhancing carbon sinks, reducing air pollution, and strengthening climate resilience.
