Housing, Public Transport, and Sustainable Cities: Delivering SDG 11.2

This joint UITP, ICLEI and UN-Habitat publication examines global progress toward SDG 11.2 on universal access to safe, affordable and sustainable public transport. It shows that nearly 40% of the world’s urban population still lacks convenient access. Drawing on data from cities across 126 countries, it highlights the links between public transport, housing, employment and essential services, and calls for greater investment, integrated land-use planning and stronger governance to accelerate progress toward 2030 and beyond.
