In our portfolio, ICLEI SAMS offers environmental education sessions, for the training of the youth from municipal public schools to all Network members, introducing concepts on climate change and tree planting in a playful way, through a partnership with the German organization Plant- for-the-Planet.

Read more Read lessFocused on children ranging from 7 to 12 years old, the Plant-for-the-Planet organization carries out educational activities to train the young climate justice ambassadors, raising public awareness about the climate change agenda in a playful way. The training is finalized by carrying out collective plantings to support the nature-based solutions in their communities. One of the tools used is the book “Duda and João Pedro on a sustainable adventure” by Carlos Eduardo. The book is aimed at children aged 0 to 12, and below is a summary of the book: Following the adventure of the brothers Duda and João Pedro, the book works on the four pillars of good financial education for children: teaching how to earn money, how to spend it correctly, how to save for the future and how to share with others. In addition, the book shows the importance of preserving nature and the environment in the search for and respect for the sustainability of the planet.
