What we achieved
A series of activities has been conducted to facilitate peer learning and showcase innovative urban strategies, solutions, and partnerships that leverage technology, smart governance, or business models centered around sustainable energy, green lifestyles, and urban resilience. These initiatives actively promote green behavior in society while fostering a harmonious relationship with the natural environment and ensuring a people-centric approach.
The Smart City Expo at Taipei and Kaohsiung has become the largest annual event in Taiwan which hundreds of global mayors or high-level city delegates are invited to visit. Over the past few years, the program has incorporated the themes of net-zero transition and urban sustainability. KCC, in collaboration with partners, has been actively engaged in creating opportunities for cities to showcase and network their solutions and innovations that contribute to urban sustainability and climate actions.
