ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network working with more than 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development.
There is a rich and compelling knowledge resource from previously funded programmes of FCDO and IDRC. These programmes include CIRCLE, SHEAR, FCFA, CARIAA, WISER, ARRCC, CRIDF, REACH, AGMIP, ESPA and CDKN. However, the knowledge was not always shared and disseminated as effectively as it could have been. In many cases this was due to limitations in the project duration and budget for knowledge sharing and dissemination beyond the programme delivery.
