What we did

The City of Charlottesville, VA, wished to assess their jurisdiction’s vulnerability to the changing climate and lay the foundation for future adaptation action. The City contracted with ICLEI USA to conduct a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) report document.

What we achieved

ICLEI USA completed a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment which included a study of climate-related hazards and future projections; a resident survey; internal and external community engagement; and report writing and editing. The completed CRVA report will serve as the City’s foundation for future adaptation planning, conducted in partnership with Albemarle County and the University of Virginia.
