What we are doing

In response to the growing importance of the circular economy, ICLEI Korea established C-LEAD, an action group aimed at facilitating the implementation of circular economy policies by Korean local governments. This initiative currently includes the active participation of Gyeonggi Province and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

How we are tracking

Hosted an online meeting with participating cities, enabling the exchange of policies and best practices. Analyzed policies from 17 metropolitan local governments using the 5R strategy, identifying gaps in reuse and regenerate practices as key insights for improvement. Facilitated Jeju's participation in the LSNG Coalition, paving the way for collaborative efforts to tackle plastic pollution.
