What we are achieving
ICLEI is one of the founding members and is actively engaged since 2015.
ICLEI is member of the Alliance Steering Committee, a group that makes strategic decisions and provides operational and financial oversight of and political guidance.
ICLEI is member of all the three Action Groups: (i) Project Preparation, (ii) Enabling Frameworks, (iii) Financial Toolbox. Here activities include:
- Webinars
- Development of tools
- Events
- Publications & knowledge products
ICLEI was lead of developing an assessment of CCFLA members project preparation activities in Mexico, based on which the first regional CCFLA Forum was organized. ICLEI is also leading on a similar assessment for Indonesia.
ICLEI furthermore nominated two city ambassadors ensuring that the Alliance activities and outputs are practical for cities’ ground-level financial realities. The City Ambassadors have consistently participated in CCFLA's activities and events.
The Alliance also hosts the Leadership for Urban Climate Investment (LUCI) initiative, where ICLEI is actively involved and the Transformative Actions Program (TAP) is one of the acknowledged initiatives to reach its goals by 2025.
ICLEI has also participated actively in the development of CCFLA's new initiative, the PPF Connector. The PPF Connector seeks to promote project matchmaking and enhance partnerships among PPFs using the PPF Project Database. TAP is one of the initiatives involved in the PPF Connector.
