The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative wished to hold climate action planning workshops for its member cities at its Annual General Meeting in 2023. These workshops were designed to help elected officials and technical staff kickstart and advance the climate action planning process in their jurisdictions.

Workshops were designed to be responsive to needs attendees shared via a pre-meeting survey (created by ICLEI Canada). Staff from the two offices worked together to facilitate the workshops and write-up results in a report.
