The Urban Bioconnection Alliance is a coalition of diverse civil society organizations dedicated to advancing urban sustainability in Brazil. The alliance aims to influence the creation of public policies and bolster investments in Nature-based Solutions (NbS) across the country. Its primary objective is to establish a national sectoral regulatory framework that provides legal and financial security for the adoption of innovative, nature-based territorial planning strategies at all levels of governance.

What we are achieving
In August 2024, ICLEI SAMS was selected through a competitive Terms of Reference process published by the Boticário Group Foundation to serve as the Executive Secretariat for the Urban Bioconnection Alliance. This appointment allows ICLEI SAMS to provide more comprehensive support to the network and its members, thereby facilitating significant advancements and fostering enhanced collaboration within the alliance. The last delivery was the Alliance Action Plan.
