What we did
The "UrbanByNature" project, supported by the EU's Horizon 2020 innovation research framework, aims to enhance local governments' ability worldwide to leverage nature for urban sustainability. The project envisions a collaborative effort between local governments, civil society, and businesses to create sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities. ICLEI, along with over 60 global partners, has developed a methodology to support local governments in integrating nature into urban development, addressing barriers, and incorporating biodiversity and ecosystem conservation into policies and planning.
