What we are doing
Cities are hotspots for energy consumption and emissions, making them crucial for developing net-zero solutions and sustainable energ y systems. They are also at the forefront of implementing inno vative solutions t o address climate and energy challenges. Mastering energy transition is essential to achieving net-zero goals. However, many energy solutions are typically led at the national level in Chinese Taipei (Taiwan). This workshop concentrates on "decarbonizing buildings" at the city level and introduces international standards, along with readily available approaches or tools for local governments to take priority steps, which include energy performance measurement and verification of public buildings, as well as practicalities on budgeting and procurement processes for Energy Service Company (ESCO) projects.
