This Executive Summary presents the main results of the Climate Action Plan (PLAC) for Porto Alegre, developed over the course of eighteen months between 2023 and 2024. The PLAC is designed to enable the city to translate its climate ambitions into practical strategies, actions and projects. It serves as a basic instrument in which the city’s commitments to neutrality of greenhouse gas emissions Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions neutrality by 2050 and to adapt to the impacts of climate events.
