This webinar under the PARTICIPATION dimension of the Urban Transitions Alliance equity framework highlighted how the circular transition in cities can be shaped in recognition of and in close collaboration with local populations. With presentations from Valonia, an expert organization for sustainable development in Southwest Finland, as well as the Alliance cities of Baltimore and Dortmund, various ways of resident outreach and engagement were discussed, as well as collaboration with and support of civil society groups. In addition, the conversation touched on questions cross-departmental collaboration within the city administration and on challenges and opportunities of community outreach during the Covid-19 pandemic. This was the second edition of a threepart webinar series on the equitable circular economy, hosted in cooperation with Circular Turku.
