ICLEI USA created this report to share trends and best practices for incorporating equity into local climate action planning. While anyone can use this resource, it is aimed at local government staff working on climate and sustainability. You do not need to be an expert on climate science or equity to use this report, though some familiarity with these topics is helpful.
This report does not claim to be comprehensive, nor to dictate what local governments should or should not do. Each local government should assess its own community needs and values to determine a process for integrating equity into climate action plan.
