Getting Ready to Finance Toolkit

The Getting Ready to Finance Toolkit was developed through ICLEI Canada’s Financing Resilient Infrastructure Project (FRIP), a 2023 collaboration involving 10 Canadian municipalities and financial and climate risk experts from Co-operators, Addenda Capital, and ICLEI Canada. Through structured knowledge exchange across public and private sectors, participants explored project feasibility, bankability, and financing considerations for climate-resilient infrastructure. The initiative identified 22 potential resilient infrastructure projects suited to innovative financing approaches. These projects, along with the methods and tools used to prepare them for investment, are compiled in the Getting Ready to Finance Toolkit.
