This document summarizes the 1st Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals in Santo André, for the period from 2018 to 2022, and aims to start the city’s journey to tackle climate change, as well as to support the development of public policies on the subject. The document presents data on greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH₄) and nitrous oxide (N2O) in the city of Andre. It is of the utmost importance for public authorities to list this information in order to build public policies in the face of climate change. Based on this study, it will be possible to understand the main sources of emissions in the municipality and create a common vision of the efforts needed to make Santo André resilient and low-emission.
