Extreme weather is intensifying, placing coastal cities on the frontlines of climate emergency response. ICLEI is committed to supporting coastal local and regional governments through community-led solutions and collaboration that strengthen resilience and protect livelihoods. Standing out as a highly engaged city in both local and international sustainability efforts, Chefchaouen has advanced an ambitious vision for sustainable development through action on renewable energy, e-mobility, waste management, biodiversity, and ecotourism, while also sharing its experience through city networks and global exchanges.
