Lagos is the seventh fastest growing city in the world in terms of population. This port city is an important hub for the oil trade, and generates most of Nigeria's GDP. There is a very wide spectrum of wealth distribution in the city. Indeed, inequity and poverty are rising in pace with the city's rapid demographic expansion.
