Join ICLEI at World Water Week 2025
Under the theme “Water for Climate Action”, World Water Week runs from 24 to 28 August in Stockholm, Sweden, spotlighting water’s vital role in both mitigation and adaptation, and in strengthening resilience worldwide.
Equity and climate justice will be central to the discussions, ensuring that vulnerable communities are not left behind in the global response to climate change.
Cities are on the frontline of an altered water cycle, and need access to technical as well as financial resources to adapt. That’s why embedding water resilience into urban planning is not optional; it is essential for building climate-smart, inclusive, and liveable cities.
ICLEI is convening and participating in several sessions during the week and will highlight how local and regional governments are driving transformative water action and taking proactive steps towards urban water resilience.
