Following COP30 in Belém, the global climate agenda has moved forward, but key gaps remain in fully empowering local and regional governments as implementation partners. This first Local Governments and Municipal Authorities (LGMA) all-Constituency briefing of 2026 brings together members, partners, and external voices to reflect on what comes next.
The session will explore the evolving policy landscape, connect recent developments to LGMA’s long-term advocacy priorities, and highlight how the Constituency is adapting through its new coordination model. Participants will also discover concrete ways to engage in upcoming advocacy moments and working groups.
