City of Copenhagen
Denmark
About
Copenhagen is Denmark's capital and largest city, as well as a national economic, cultural and political center and a Northern European center for maritime industries and finance. It lies along the east coast of the island of Zealand, just across the sea from Sweden. The city is renowned for its progressive stance on bicycle transport and sustainability in general, and is widely considered to be one of the world's most sustainable cities. Copenhagen's current biggest ecological challenge is a self-imposed one, as it intends to be a carbon-neutral city by the year 2025.
