Ingrid Coetzee, Director of Biodiversity, Nature & Health at ICLEI Africa Secretariat, will give a keynote speech at the international symposium ‘Nature, Culture, and Community - Rethinking Urban Connections from Kanazawa’, on 22 May 2025 in the City of Kanazawa, Japan. In conjunction with Ingrid's visit to Japan, UNU-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa/Kanazawa (OUIK) and ICLEI Japan organized a Biodiversity Local Government Seminar to share the latest information on biodiversity and discuss the role of local governments in the Convention negotiations.
