The development of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory for the Province of Jujuy is focused on strengthening the technical capacity of provincial teams and officials to support decision-making and the design of mitigation strategies. This project aims to consolidate the existing emission series for 2010–2014 and provide an updated inventory for the base year 2022, thereby enhancing the province's climate change response capabilities.

This update will establish a more current and accurate emissions baseline to inform and strengthen the province’s climate planning. Jujuy is set to become the first Argentinian province to present a Climate Change Response Plan aimed at accelerating low-carbon and climate-resilient development. The project also includes a series of capacity-building sessions to enhance the technical capabilities of provincial teams and ensure active participation of the Sectoral Tables of the Interministerial Cabinet on Climate Change in the preparation of current and future inventories
