The workshop is important because it seeks to improve the capacity of local governments to develop bankable projects that, over time, are sustainable and replicable. Currently, the lack of design in solar energy projects makes financing difficult, hence the importance of creating proven methodologies to develop pilot projects in an area with great potential such as solar energy.
